Door-to-door selling is an intrusive and rude form of selling that should be banned. Until that happy day comes you can deter cold callers with a doorbell sticker.

Ideally, 'No Cold Calling' stickers are placed as near to your doorbell / doorknocker as possible. The stickers are therefore rather small; only 3 x 3cm (or 1.2 x 1.2in). Because they're also clutter-free the stickers are still easy to spot and read.
Please note that there's strictly speaking nothing you can do to stop cold callers. That said, decent salespeople will skip your door. And, for those cold callers who insist on bothering you, simply point to the sticker and tell them to go away.
